1:6 Ratio Guarantee

We believe that giving close attention to each student is the key to maximising personalised learning experience. In our classrooms, we will reinforce a ratio of 1 teacher to every 6 students to ensure that all students receive sufficient assistance to aid their learning. Our maximum class size is 10 students.

Our Team

In order to ensure our students are empowered with creativity and inspiration in a safe and inclusive environment, our programs are delivered by a team of passionate programmers and engineering students with a current Working With Children Check. Each of member of our is concrete in their understanding in a specific computer science area to deliver a rich quality program.

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

We aim to foster ways of thinking that enable students to develop creative thinking, program solving and digital confidence in an enjoyable collaborative environment. Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions and activities to create a fun learning atmosphere. The overall goal is to increase student interest, anticipation, attention, and wonder when it comes to challenges in solving a coding activity or project.

Our Programs

Our programs are constantly evolving to stay relevant to the latest learning platform, tools and software. We adopt a variety of rich and educational Kickstarter projects and tools invented from MIT Media Lab or Silicon Valley-based technology companies. For our 2 day holiday programs, we pursue a balance between inactive and active screen time. Inactive screen time will involve students taking part in electronic based makerspace activities, evoking their intrinsic interest in technology.

Carly

Founder & Educator

Certified MIT Master Trainer in Educational Mobile Computing (MIT, Cambridge)
Carly was a Senior Solutions Developer specialising in Java for an Online Information Broker System Tri-Search which provides search facilities for OSR, Land Titles, Sydney Water & ASIC. As a mother of two children Carly is passionate about motivating children to engage in the world of computer science as creators rather than just consumers, and at the same time help them to spark creativity and develop problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Alfred

Advisor

Alfred currently works at Mint Payments as a Chief Technology Officer. Alfred was previously a director and co-founder of Genexis Consulting. He has involved in software development in the swipe and sign mobile payment solution and for clients such as Towers Perrin, Towers Watson and Logica. Alfred assists in evaluating the curriculum for our programs so the students will be rewarded with valuable knowledge. As a father of two, he is passionate in giving children a positive and impactful learning experience while triggering their curiosity and creativity.

Mehedi

As an IT Manager, and an experienced Project Manager, Mehedi is skilled in software requirement analysis, project management, online product designing, and marketing. Mehedi develop and maintains the backend and frontend of websites, Linux Shared & VPS servers. He has a extensive programming experience in Python and PHP . Being a passionate programmer, Mehedi delivers workshops to students different age groups with tailored learning materials.

Wendy

Educator

Wendy is passionate about children and education with eight years of professional teaching experience at a variety of public and independent schools. Her Bachelor of Engineering and Graduate Diploma in Education has provided a solid background on technology and teaching. As a mother to an active toddler she is interested in finding ways to inspire and engage young children.
Jacqueline is currently in her final year at UNSW studying Bachelor of Software Engineering. Her leadership skills are reflected through her experience in leadership programs and peer support group to assist younger children in adapting in unfamiliar environments. Jacqueline is an enthusiastic educator and is happy to inspire children by sharing her knowledge with them.
Kevin aspires to contribute towards a future of artificial intelligence and endless connectivity through the internet of things. He has experience in a diverse suite of programming languages, including C, Python and Javascript. Kevin aims to equip students with not only the skills to design and code, but also adopting the mind of an engineer. CS One provides an environment that nurtures all-rounded student development. He hopes to provide an amazing platform for students to think creatively and problem solve freely, while also having a lot of fun!
Conrad is highly proficient in multiple programming languages, including C, Python, Lua, Visual Basic, Actionscript. His outstanding achievements in this area include his award of high distinction in the Code Comp in 2014 at Barker College, resulting as the top of his grade in his school subject of Software Design and Development.
